Warwickshire Safe Haven Service

We write to inform you of changes that will be taking place to the Safe Haven provision in Warwickshire. The Safe Haven aims to support people who are feeling distressed and overwhelmed and is available during the evenings (including weekends) when other forms of support are often closed.

The current Safe Haven service, delivered by Mental Health Matters in Warwickshire, will end on 31st March 2020. (Please note they will continue to operate a site 7 days a week in Coventry)

For Warwickshire, a new Safe Haven service will be delivered by Coventry and Warwickshire Mind which can be accessed from 2nd April 2020 via phone or email:
 - 02477 714554 - safehaven@cwmind.org.uk

The service will be open between 6pm and 11pm initially on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. The service will scale up in coming months to a full 7 days a week provision and we will keep you informed of progress. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak face to face support will not currently be available for this service.

Past and current users of the Warwickshire Mental Health Matters Safe Haven service will be contacted directly to advise them of this change, as well as being given details on how they can access the Warwickshire Safe Haven service and other out of hours mental health support. To support this transition, we are requesting that organisations remove old marketing materials relating only to the Mental Health Matters Safe Haven service (for the Warwickshire provision only) where possible to minimise confusion. The phone number will be live for a further month to direct anyone calling to the new provision, so that those who have the current contact details are made aware.
